Quran’s Verses Which Encourage

The Muslim to read the Bible

I. QURAN ASKED THE MUSLIM TO READ THE BIBLE IF HE HAS DOUBT IN THE QURAN.

• If you are in doubt concerning that which we have sent down to you, ask those who have been reading the book before you. (Jonah 10:94)

II. QURAN GIVES PROOF TO THE VALIDITY OF THE BIBLE

• “Say: people of the book, you do not stand on anything, until you perform the torah and the Gospel” The table 5:72

• “He has sent down to thee the book with the truth, confirming the book that was before it and assuring it” (The table 5:52)

• “And in their footsteps we sent Jesus the son of Mary, confirming the law that had come before him: we sent him the Gospel: therein was guidance and light, and confirmation of the law that had come before him. A guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah.” (The table 5:46)
